About Gameboy Emulator

Gameboy Emulator (gmboy-emulator.com) is an independent resource for downloading mGBA, a fast, accurate, free and open-source emulator for Game Boy Advance, Game Boy and Game Boy Color games. The goal of this site is to be the clearest place to download mGBA and understand what it does - which systems it plays, what its features are for and how to get it running on your device.

This is not the official mGBA website. The download links here point to the genuine release files published by the project; nothing is repackaged or wrapped in a custom installer. mGBA was created by Vicki Pfau (also known as endrift) and has been developed publicly since 2013 under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. You can review the project, its source code and its releases on the official mGBA repository.

Privacy

This site is intentionally simple. It is a static informational website that does not run analytics, ad networks, tracking pixels or third-party advertising scripts, and it does not set tracking cookies or collect personal data from visitors. There are no accounts to create and no forms that store your information on this site.

Downloads are hosted by GitHub rather than served from this site, so selecting a download link sends your request to GitHub, whose own privacy practices then apply. Standard server logs maintained by the hosting provider may record routine technical information (such as IP address and user agent) for security and operational purposes, as is normal for any website.

This site does not host or provide game ROMs. Emulation is legal, but the games you run are not - you are responsible for using mGBA only with game files you have legally obtained, and for following the laws that apply where you live.
